The Institute for Security Studies (ISS) is a pan-African think tank focused on human security and sustainable development in Africa. It provides independent research, policy analysis, training, and technical assistance to governments, intergovernmental organizations, and civil society. The ISS has offices in Pretoria (headquarters), Addis Ababa, Nairobi, and Dakar.
