Erasmus+ scholarships
Applicants who submit a complete application before the application deadline are automatically considered for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Scholarship.
**No separate scholarship application is required**

External scholarships
Applicants who intend to apply for external funding are advised to carefully review the scholarship provider's eligibility requirements and deadlines. Because the time between provisional admission and payment deadline is short you may have to request for a deferral of your scholarship to next year.

A provisional admission letter may be used to support applications for scholarships, sponsorships, or other funding opportunities.

Submit your application

Applications must be submitted through the online application portal no later than: 15 January 2027 (23:59 CET)

After submission, applications are reviewed for:

  • Completeness
  • Eligibility
  • Compliance with programme requirements

Applications may also be screened for plagiarism.

Admission and Scholarship selection

The GEM Joint Programme Board, representing all consortium partners, is responsible for the selection of students.

Step 1: Eligibility review
Applications are reviewed to determine whether applicants meet all academic and administrative requirements.
Educational qualifications may be verified using recognised verification procedures.
Applicants who do not meet the requirements will not proceed to the next stage.

Step 2: Academic evaluation
Eligible applications are independently evaluated by consortium partners.

The assessment may consider:

  • Academic achievements
  • Relevance of previous education
  • English language proficiency
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Motivation and suitability for the selected track

Following the academic evaluation, the highest-ranked applicants for each track may be shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process.

Step 3: Scholarship interview stage
To support the allocation of Erasmus Mundus scholarships, the highest-ranked applicants may be invited to participate in a recorded online interview.

A limited number of the highest-ranked applicants in each track will be invited for a recorded online interview.

Approximately the top 25 applicants per study track will be invited for an interview.

Only applicants who are invited to and complete the interview will remain eligible for consideration for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship.

Applicants who are not invited to interview may still be considered for admission to the programme, but will not be eligible for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship.

Interview invitations will normally be sent in February. Interviews are expected to take place in February and March. Applicants who are invited to an interview will receive further instructions by email.

The interview will assess factors such as:

  • Motivation for the programme
  • Understanding of the selected study track
  • Academic and professional goals
  • Communication skills
  • Overall suitability for the programme

Interview recordings will be reviewed by members of the GEM Joint Programme Board as part of the scholarship selection process.
