Together with the Liu Shiming Art Foundation, Open Dreams will select three art students in the 2025/2026 school year to receive a $3000 Liu Shiming Art Scholarship to be applied to their university fees and expenses. Open Dreams will administer this award on behalf of the Liu Shiming Art Foundation.
This award is intended to celebrate highly dedicated artists majoring in Visual Arts, Sculpture (3D Arts), Art History, Art Design, Film, Music, and Cultural Study programs in colleges or graduate schools in Cameroon, Ghana, Rwanda, Liberia, Zambia, Nigeria, and South Africa.

Aim and Benefits of Liu Shiming Art Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship award of $3000USD will be preferably be used for study supplies, projects, traveling for projects or academic events, and tuition.
Requirements for Liu Shiming Art Foundation Scholarship Qualification
To qualify for this award, students must meet the following qualifications:
- Students must be already accepted or already studying at a university or graduate program in Visual Arts, Sculpture (3D Arts), Art History, Art Design, Film, Music, and Cultural Study programs.
- Students must be attending university in one of the following countries: Cameroon, Ghana, Rwanda, Liberia, Zambia, Nigeria, and South Africa.
- Students must have demonstrated academic excellence.
- Students must have exceptional project ideas and artistic project samples.
- Students must show they will use the funds for study supplies, projects, traveling for projects or academic events, and/or tuition.
- A slight preference will be given to students who are specializing in sculpture and to students who have a demonstrated disability, in honor of Liu Shiming's memory.
