The Institute for Diversity and Inclusion in Emergency Management (I-DIEM) is a global non-profit established to facilitate change by integrating into all aspects of emergency management. Our focus is on humanity and our vision support the empowerment of marginalized communities within all phases of the disaster management. Among our eight goals, emphasis is placed on promoting, supporting and disseminating research regarding diversity and inclusion in emergency management, increasing the number of women and people color within the emergency management profession, and diversifying participation in the resilience and emergency management enterprise.
