High-performance computing is a key technology in research and development and is now indispensable for addressing complex issues in science and industry as well as for solving major societal challenges in many areas.
In the NHR network, we pool the resources and expertise of university high-performance computing and make them available free of charge to researchers at German universities. The NHR network not only provides computing capacity but also supports users, particularly through consulting and training on the use of high-performance computing in their fields of application. Within the national network, our offerings cover a wide range of topics and are available across regions.
Within the NHR network, we jointly research ways to increase the efficiency, applicability, and usability of scientific computing and continuously develop our expertise.
We are particularly committed to supporting young researchers. For this reason, the NHR association has established its own graduate school, which provides both national and international young researchers with optimal qualifications in the field of high-performance computing.
