The Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship Program has been awarding full scholarships to Nigerian students since 1998. It is fully funded by Mr. Jim Ovia to provide financial aid to outstanding Nigeria youths.
The scholarship was previously known as the MUSTE scholarship. The scheme offers an average of 100 opportunities each year for new applicants while renewing applicants are supported annually, conditional on meeting all eligible requirements of the scholarship.

- Successful awardees of the Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship will receive full support throughout the period of their undergraduate study covering;
- Tuition fees
- Accommodation
- Living stipends
Requirements for Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship for Nigerian Students Qualification
- You MUST NOT USE AN AGENT to fill out or apply or submit an application
- There is NO PAYMENT REQUIRED to submit an application. Paying an agent is at your own risk and does not guarantee a scholarship award
- You are only allowed to make only ONE SUBMISSION per applicant. Multiple entries will be disqualified
- FALSIFYING or FORGING documents will automatically lead to a disqualification
- Applicant MUST have completed Senior Secondary School
- Applicants MUST have gained admission into a Nigerian University(State or Federal) and MUST provide proof of admission
- Applicant MUST have a minimum of five credits in the O/level and will be required to submit a certificate of proof
- Candidate’s age MUST not be less than 16 years at time of application
- There are no restrictions to the course or program of study for applicants
- Make sure to provide a reliable means of contact as the email and phone number you enter in this form will be used to contact you
- You MUST provide an email address that has your firstname and lastname in it. Email MUST be a Gmail or Yahoo account
- All uploaded scanned documents must be clear and legible, unclear documents will be rejected
- You may print the form for your own record before clicking on submit
- Submitting an application does not guarantee an award of the Jim Ovia scholarship
- There is no need to contact the Foundation once you have submitted your application. Those who meet the selection criteria will be shortlisted and contacted by the foundation
- Ensure that you enter all information accurately and click submit
Documents Required for Application
- Recognized Government I.D
- Official Birth Certificate
- Passport Photograph
- Your Official JAMB Certificate/Result
- Your University Admission Letter
- Your official acceptance letter from the University
- Copy of your UTME Result
- Current Academic Calendar of your Institution (Stamped/Signed)
- Signed & Stamped Student Copy of your academic result, from 100level till date, showing your GPAs per semester and overall CGPA.
(To be considered for scholarship, Medical students MUST convert their academic grades to CGPA. This result MUST show the University’s grading system and the actual conversion of their grades to CGPA and MUST be stamped and signed by the school authorities)
- Original Copy of your HOD’s Recommendation Letter
(This letter MUST not be older than four (4) months and should state your Current Academic Level, Current Academic Session, Current Academic Semester and Current CGPA)
- Your School I.D card
- Original Secondary School O’Level Certificate (WAEC, GCE or NECO)
