The African Space Agency (AfSA) is excited to announce the launch of its Logo Design Competition. This initiative invites young Africans aged 18 to 29 to unleash their creativity and design a logo that embodies AfSA’s vision, mission, and influence as a central player in advancing Africa’s space ambitions.
AfSA, established under the African Union (AU), is tasked with promoting space-related innovation, socio-economic growth, and scientific research across the continent. As part of its formal inauguration scheduled for April 20, 2025, during the NewSpace Africa Conference 2025 in Cairo, AfSA seeks a logo that will become a visual representation of the agency’s mission to lead Africa’s space exploration efforts and address critical challenges such as climate change, disaster management, and resource sustainability.
The African Union (AU) is a continental body consisting of the 55 member states that make up the countries of the African Continent. It was officially launched in 2002 as a successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU, 1963-1999).
