AIIDEV Africa is pleased to announce the launch of the 2025 cohort of the Africa SDGs Mentorship Programme, a transformative seven-month fellowship designed to illuminate the path for young African professionals, empowering them to become champions of sustainable development within their countries. This initiative is a clarion call to nurture the next generation of leaders whose actions will align with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), forging a brighter and more resilient future for the continent.

As a bridge between potential and purpose, the Africa SDGs Mentorship Programme addresses the critical gap in mentorship opportunities for young African professionals passionate about sustainable development. It seeks to cultivate a cadre of future leaders by equipping them with the tools, networks, and insights needed to transform ambition into impactful action.

The programme serves as a fertile ground where the seeds of leadership are sown and nurtured, pairing aspiring changemakers with seasoned mentors who act as guiding stars, sharing their wisdom and experience. Aim and Benefits of AIIDEV Africa SDGs Mentorship Program

The following opportunities and benefits will be available to participants of the SDGs AMP:

• Fellows will have access to experienced mentors who can guide and support them in achieving their personal and professional goals.
• Fellows will acquire advanced knowledge and skills on the SDGs, ESD, and other concepts of Sustainability.
• World Recognition and Certification for outstanding performance and contributions towards the achievement of the SDGs.
• Build and connect with a network of like-minded young professionals committed to promoting sustainable development.
• Developing practical skills in project management, community engagement, and advocacy.
• Building their resumes and enhancing their career prospects.

Requirements for AIIDEV Africa SDGs Mentorship Program Qualification

To participate in this programme, please note the following criteria before proceeding with your application:

• Applicants must be citizens of any African country between 25 and 40 years old.
• Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any field relevant.
• Applicants should have a minimum of two years of professional work experience in a field related to sustainable development or a demonstrated commitment to working towards the SDGs through volunteer work or personal initiatives.
• Applicants must have a genuine interest and passion for sustainable development and a desire to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs in Africa.
• Fellows should demonstrate leadership potential and a strong commitment to making a positive impact in their respective countries and communities.
• Fellows must be available to actively participate in the seven-month mentorship programme, including attending training sessions, workshops, and mentorship meetings.
• Applicants must be committed to fully engaging in the mentorship programme, actively collaborating with their mentors and fellow participants, and completing all required programme activities.
• Applicants should have a good command of the English language, as the programme will be conducted in English.
• Applicants should have access to a reliable internet connection and necessary technology devices to fully participate in virtual activities and meetings.
