The Government of Liberia in collaboration with the management of ArcelorMittal Liberia is pleased to announce the launch of the 11 batch of its Advanced Academic Scholarship program
The program supports students pursuing graduate (Master's) and other advanced academic degrees in the following fields of study at foreign accredited institutions: Fields covered include Engineering, Geo-Sciences, Civil Surveying, and other STEM courses.

Opportunity to study abroad at a foreign accredited university

Requirements for ArcelorMittal Liberia's Advanced Scholarship Program to Study Abroad Qualification

Applicants must be Liberian citizens and MUST have resided in Liberia for at least two (2) academic years at the time of application.
Applicants must also have undergraduate degrees in one of the sciences and be 35 years or below at the time of application.
Applicants must provide proof of citizenship (any one of three national identification documents including a birth certificate, passport bio page, or national identification).
Applicants must provide residential status by submitting a letter of confirmation from the applicant's community leader with contact details

Documents Required for Application

The full checklist for submission Includes:

• A copy of the BSc degree (the original will be required if the application progresses beyond the screening stage.
• Official transcript confirming a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average.
• Official letter of acceptance from a foreign accredited university (No applicant will be considered for the interview phase without on admission letter).
• Two letters of recommendations from non-relatives of the applicant including one from a former supervisor and former/current department chairperson
• Not less than a 500-word essay detalling three (3) ways in which the MDA Scholarship will help the candidate positively impact Liberia.
• Applicants must provide proof of citizenship
• Applicants must provide residential status as specified in the guidelines.
• Submission of applications runs from May 18, 2026 and ends on June 28, 2026. Admission letter from foreign accredited institutions must be submitted by June 28, 2026. Admission letters from U.S. and European institutions are excluded from this cycle.
