The AUDA-NEPAD assisting African Member states to achieve this ambitious goal, AFR100 partners (AUDA-NEPAD, WRI & Fledge), launched an accelerator program called The Land Accelerator Africa program. The Land Accelerator is an accelerator program and curated network for entrepreneurs who restore degraded forests and farmland. This innovative program offers a combination of mentorship, technical training, and networking opportunities, aiming to empower entrepreneurs to effectively tackle land degradation while promoting sustainable and profitable agricultural practices. Participants leave the program ready to connect with potential investors so that they can take their business to the next stage of growth. The program has attracted nearly 3,000 applicants in Africa, and its 196 alumni from 34 countries have self-reported that they have created 9,048 jobs, worked with 249,496 farmers and restored 201,076 hectares.
