Austrian Development Cooperation Scholarships in Austria 2025

Every year the Austrian Development Cooperation offers students from developing countries scholarships to help with tuition fees and general expenses.

Scholarships are awarded for the Diploma Course of the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management.

The Diploma Course includes:
1.) A General Module
2.) A Professional Module: Hospitality Management or Tourism Management
3.) An Elective: Entrepreneurship or Teacher Training

About Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC)

(ADC) forms part of Austrian foreign policy, with the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) as the operational unit of the ADC. ADC aims at reducing poverty, preserving the environment and promoting peace and human security in partner countries. Long-term programmes and projects of the ADC support self-help to ensure sustainable development. Aim and Benefits of Scholarships

The scholarships include:

• Tuition fee
• Course material
• Health insurance
• Food on school days
• Excursions and social events
• Monthly pocket money
• Partial costs of accomodation

Requirements for Scholarships Qualification

ADC priority countries: limited places are reserved for applicants from the following countries:

• Ethiopia
• Uganda
• Burkina Faso
• Mozambique
• Bhutan
• Palestinian Territories
• Georgia
• Armenia
• Moldova

Interview date, Process and Venue for Scholarships

Limited number of scholarships are offered every year by the Austrian Development Cooperation. Please be aware that being offered a scholarship is not automatic and very competitive.

Application Timeline:

• Deadline for the submission of application form: March 16th 2025
• Beginning of Courses: 8th September 2025
• Visa Application: You can start with the Visa application process right after receiving the letter of acceptance in May 2025.
• Planned duration of the Diploma Course: September 8, 2025 – May  31, 2026
