The Hancock Prospecting Swimming Excellence Scholarship is among the most prestigious scholarships available in Australia, targeted to provide an opportunity for a series of high performance swimming scholars to compete at an elite level, while gaining an outstanding education at Bond University.  

The Bond Swimming Club currently provides access to some of the best swimming coaches in Australia, some of whom are based on the Gold Coast.

About Bond University

The Bond University is a private not-for-profit university located in Robina, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Hancock Prospecting Swimming Excellence Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Hancock Prospecting Swimming Excellence Scholarship

As a Hancock Prospecting Swimming Excellence Scholar, you will be awarded with 100% tuition remission for any single diploma program, single undergraduate degree* or single postgraduate degree, and you will commence in the following January semester.

In addition, as a Hancock Prospecting Swimming Excellence Scholar you would also receive a living allowance of $21,000 for each year of study (up to three years) as a cash payment. The cash bursary may be used as you wish, however it is intended to be spent on accommodation, food, sporting equipment, participation in sporting events and training, the Student Services and Amenities Fee, and textbooks.  

Requirements for Hancock Prospecting Swimming Excellence Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must:

• Be an Australian student eligible to represent Australia in swimming.  
• Be currently swimming at a very elite level.  
• Hold strong leadership skills and have proven community involvement.  
• Meet the academic requirements for your selected program.  

Recipients will be chosen in conjunction with Swimming Australia.? 

Documents Required for Application

• Evidence of your leadership, initiative, and service to your school and/or community. If you are a diploma or undergraduate applicant, it is a COMPULSORY component of your application to use our Summary of Achievements template to present this evidence. You will need to complete all sections of the template provided and upload it as one Word or PDF document, to your scholarship application. 
  Your application CANNOT be considered if you provide your evidence in any other form, such as a personal CV or resume.
• A personal statement stating why you should be chosen for this scholarship. Required for postgraduate applicants only.
• A detailed sport CV highlighting all sporting achievements.  
• At least two relevant references from individuals who can support sporting achievements (please upload to your scholarship application as one Word or PDF document).
