FirstBank Fintech Summit 6.0

FirstBank is hosting its 6th annual Fintech Summit with the theme “Banking on Partnerships”. Scheduled to take place on the 13th & 14th of November 2024. It will feature a series of engaging sessions, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities.

Fintech Innovators Pitch Program

As part of this event, FirstBank is launching the Fintech Innovators Pitch Programme to support early-stage fintech startups and foster innovation in the financial services ecosystem. The programme will provide selected startups with intensive training, mentorship. All towards the opportunity to pitch their solutions to FirstBank, investors, and industry leaders. Selected winners will receive support from FirstBank to bring their products to market, including strategic assistance, resources, and network access.

Through this programme, FirstBank of Nigeria aims to foster innovation, collaboration, and growth in the Nigerian Fintech ecosystem.

About Francis Ibhawoh Foundation

The Francis Ibhawoh Foundation was established in 2014 in honour of the late Francis Ehidiamen Ibhawoh by his family and friends.  ? Mr Francis Ibhawoh was a committed educationist and public servant. Born in 1938 in Uromi, Nigeria, he worked as a primary and secondary school teacher before proceeding to the University of Ibadan from where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History, Economics and French in 1968. Aim and Benefits of Fintech Innovators Pitch Programme

• Partnership with FirstBank to guide and collaborate in taking their products to market. FirstBank will provide strategic support, resources, and access to its network.
• Select partners will also be providing additional prizes & perks to be announced.
• Opportunity to engage potential early-stage investors.
• National exposure from the media partners in attendance and event coverage.

Requirements for Fintech Innovators Pitch Programme Qualification

To participate in the Fintech Innovators Pitch Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Must be an early-stage Fintech startup: Idea stage, working prototype, early traction, early revenue, seed.
• Will be in Lagos and available for the pitch prep & pitch session (See dates below)

Interview date, Process and Venue for Fintech Innovators Pitch Programme

Timeline:

• Application closes: Sunday, 27th October. 23:59 WAT
• Selection Announcement: Top 10 applicants will be notified by Monday, 4th November.
• Pitch Prep: 8th November. In person physical training where facilitators and trainers coach you in refining your deck and presentation, practicing delivery, and ensuring clarity on key points and product features and value proposition.
• Location will be communicated to selected startups.
• Pitch Day! 13th November, Summit Day 1. Present in front of a panel of world-class judges with global investors and partners in attendance.
• Winners announcement: 14th November, Summit Day 2
