Aim and Benefits of Central European University Scholarship
Undegraduate
- This is a merit-based award, which may cover up to 50% of the tuition fee (up to €4,000 per academic year)
Masters
- Master’s Tuition Award (may cover various amounts of the tuition fee)
- Master’s Stipend Award (300 EUR/month up to 1000 EUR/month)
Doctoral Scholarship
- Covering the full cost of tuition, complete with a monthly stipend to assist with housing and living costs.
- The Doctoral Stipend is 1,880 EUR/gross/month, and it is awarded for a period of 48 months in total.
Requirements for Central European University Scholarship Qualification
Eligibility Requirements for Bachelor's Programs at CEU
- You must have successfully completed your secondary education (high school diploma or equivalent) or provide documentation indicating that you will earn such a diploma before enrollment in a CEU bachelor’s program.
Eligibility Requirements for Master’s Programs at CEU
- You must have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognized university or institution of higher education or provide documentation indicating that you will earn such a degree before enrollment in a CEU master's program.
- To make sure that your bachelor’s degree qualifies you for admission for a specific master’s program, please check the relevant program webpage.
- Applicants applying for two-year master’s programs must have collected a minimum of 180 ECTS credits* (or equivalent) during their undergraduate studies, while applicants for one-year master’s programs, a minimum of 240 ECTS credits* (or equivalent).
Eligibility Requirements for Doctoral Programs at CEU
- You must have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a master's degree (or equivalent) in a related field from a recognized university or institution of higher education or provide documentation indicating that you will earn such a degree before enrollment in a CEU doctoral course of study. Those students holding a five-year master’s degree are not required to have a bachelor’s degree.
