CIVICUS Graduate Research Internship 2026

Application for CIVICUS Research Internship is Open. 

The part-time Research Intern will conduct desk research and interviews and produce text to feed into articles for publication on the CIVICUS Lens platform and into the State of Civil Society Report and thematic reports. The Research Intern will also produce simple visuals for social media dissemination of research outputs. Through this work, the intern will gain research and communications experience and deepen their knowledge of trends pertaining civil society.

CIVICUS Graduate Research Internship

Salary: USD 600 Per Month (Stipend) 

Requirements for CIVICUS Graduate Research Internship Qualification

• Degree in any of the social sciences or other relevant field, or to be near completion of studies towards such degree
• Fluency in English required; other UN languages desirable
• Excellent writing skills
• Strong interest in working in the field of civil society
• Commitment to CIVICUS’ vision, mission, values and ways of working
• Inclination and ability to work as part of a diverse, multicultural virtual team
• Well-organised, able to work independently and to deliver within deadlines, high attention to detail

Short listed candidates will be contacted 2 weeks after the closing date to schedule interviews. Possible starting date for the position will be 1 July 2026.
