Aim and Benefits of Commonwealth Commonwealth Exchange

Scholarships are typically awarded for up to 18 months for Master’s programmes and up to 60 months for PhD programmes. Funding is provided for the approved duration of study, reflecting the modular structure of available programmes.

The Scholarship covers tuition fees in full, along with a maintenance stipend, airfare, contribution towards visa and settling-in costs.

Requirements for Commonwealth Commonwealth Exchange Qualification

To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must:

• Be a citizen, permanent resident, or recognised refugee in a Commonwealth country.
• Not have previously received a Commonwealth postgraduate scholarship.
• Be no older than 45 years of age on the date of application.
• Hold either: (a) a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower (2:2) or equivalent, or (b) a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Upper Credit, from a recognised institution.

Application

• Submit your application via the online portal, ensuring all information provided is accurate and complete, as every submission will be thoroughly vetted at later stages.

Interview

• Shortlisted candidates will be notified by email and invited to attend an in-person screening session at the nearest authorised centre within their state, province, or region.

Placement

• Accepted applicants will be paired with a university in their first or second choice of study destination, where the institution will carry out its own entry requirement.

Award

• Applicants who successfully complete all assessment stages will be awarded a fully funded scholarship to pursue a Master's or PhD programme at their assigned university.
