About Drosophila Research and Training Centre (DRTC)

Drosophila Research and Training Centre, Nigeria We are a non-profit organisation established in 2019 for the purpose of facilitating the use of Drosophila melanogaster (fruit or vinegar fly) as a cost-effective, alternative animal model for biomedical research and teaching in Sub-Saharan African countries.

• Females only, ages 18-35 years
• Undergraduates, Graduates, MSc, PhD
• students and early career researchers Willing to be physically present in Ibadan, Nigeria for 1 week to attend the training
• Passionate about biomedical research
