Erasmus Mundus CLIDE International Master Scholarship

Aim and Benefits of Erasmus Mundus CLIDE International Master Scholarship

Erasmus Mundus scholarships are open to students from all regions of the world. To ensure geographical balance, no more than five scholarships per nationality will be awarded across the four editions of the programme. This represents 10% of the total 50 scholarships available during the project implementation period.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

• No tuition fees
• Monthly stipend of €1,400 for 24 months
• Comprehensive insurance
• 50 places available across four editions

Each Erasmus Mundus scholarship includes:

• Full coverage of tuition fees
• Comprehensive insurance
• Monthly subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the EMJM programme

Scholarship recipients are not liable for any tuition fees. A portion of the tuition fee is covered by the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, and the remaining amount is covered by the CLIDE consortium.

Requirements for Erasmus Mundus CLIDE International Master Scholarship Qualification

What are the prerequisites for applying to the programme?
Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree or the recognized equivalent from a recognized institution in the economic, finance, IT, communication or management sciences. In case you have a degree in a field that has a strong dimension of intercultural leadership, we invite you to explain the competencies gained in your application in more detail.
• Very good to excellent academic performance in your previous study programme
• Advanced English skills: note that you have to follow courses, read extensively, and write many term papers in English; therefore, your skills should be truly applicable.

Can I provide 2 academic or 2 professional references instead of one of each? 

• No. You have to provide both an academic and a professional reference. 

How is the limit of words for motivation letter?

• 3000 symbols (characters). Remember to attach your CV (e.g. in EUROPASS format) to your motivation letter.

Should the letter of recommendation be signed with digital signature or handwritten signature?

• The recommendation letter can be signed digitally, but the letter must include all contact information, including name, email address, and institutional affiliation. The letter should be typed on official letterhead or feature an institutional stamp.

What kind of document can I use as a proof of residence?

• A proof of residence can be either provided in the form of a residence certificate issued by the candidate’s municipality OR a certificate from the candidate’s place of work, study, or training issued by the respective institution. Please note that if this document is issued in a language different from English, German, Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, Arabic or French you will need to provide a certified translated version.

Can I study the CLIDE only at one of the participating universities?

• No, this is not possible. All students of an Erasmus Mundus course, need to respect the mobility requirements: Each student needs to study at least 2 mobility periods in 2 countries, different from their own country of residence.

Video Business Card – What You Need to Know

As part of the application process for the CLIDE program, you will be asked to prepare a short video business card (around 2 minutes). This is not a cover letter—it’s a creative way to introduce yourself!

In your video, you can include:

• What you studied
• Your leadership and intercultural experience
• Your hobbies and involvement in student activities

When you register in the application portal, you will find a section to paste a link to your video. Please make sure the link is public and does not require any additional access permissions (no approval requests or logins).

You can use platforms such as:

• YouTube (unlisted link)
• Vimeo
• Google Drive (with “Anyone with the link can view” option)

This will help the selection committee access your video easily and without delays.

Do I have to apply to all the universities separately?
No, you only need to send your application to Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toru? as the coordinating university of the CLIDE programme.

Which cities will I study in?

• Your study locations depend on the specialization you choose. The journey begins in September with the Joint Integration Week in Toru, Poland. This is an opportunity to meet your fellow students and professors, take part in orientation activities, and handle practical matters such as visa arrangements. During this period (around one month), you can stay in NCU student dormitories.
• From October to January, you will attend classes at the University of Granada (UGR), Spain. Please note that travel and accommodation costs are your responsibility.
• The second semester runs from February to June and takes place either at Nicolaus Copernicus University (NCU), Toru or FH Oberösterreich (FHOO), Steyr, Austria.
• In July, all students reunite for a Summer School Week, the last chance to be together before the third semester. Then, you will continue your studies in Casablanca, Morocco (UH2C) or in Toru (NCU), where courses are delivered by academic staff from Ukraine.
• The fourth semester is dedicated to writing your Master's thesis and completing an internship.

Is an internship mandatory?

• Yes. The internship is an integral part of the program and takes place during the fourth semester, allowing you to gain practical experience in an international environment.

Documents Required for Application

Applicants are required to upload high-quality digital copies (scans) of the following documents to the application system. The documentation must meet the requirements of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters action:
a) Application Form: Completed online, containing personal data, educational background, language skills, professional experience, and the preference for the professional track within the CLIDE programme.
b) Motivation Letter: Explaining the candidate's background and reasons for applying + CV (ex. EUROPASS format).
c) Recommendation Letters: At least two letters from (one) academic and (one) professional referees.
d) Diploma of First-Cycle Studies:

• A scan of the original diploma entitling the candidate to apply for Master’s degree programmes in the country of issuance.
• If the diploma is not originally issued in English, an official translation into English is required.

e) Transcript of Records: A scan of the official supplement or transcript listing all courses taken and grades obtained, along with an official translation into English (if applicable).
f) Eligibility Statement: A document confirming that the held diploma entitles the candidate to undertake second-cycle (Master's level) studies in the country where the diploma was issued (unless this is explicitly stated on the diploma/supplement itself) - SYRENA PORTAL
g) Proof of Language Proficiency: Scans of official language test scores or other recognised proofs of B2 English level.

• Regulations regarding English language proficiency (type of certificate or studies conducted in English) are specified in the REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION

h) Additional Achievements: Other relevant documents (e.g., scientific articles, proof of employment/internships, video pitch).
i) Video Business Card.

Procedure for Diploma Validation in the NAWA SYRENA System

1. Verify the requirements in the NAWA KWALIFIKATOR system
   Visit https://kwalifikator.nawa.gov.pl/?utm_source=ScholarshipSet to check whether your diploma requires an individual decision issued by the Director of NAWA.

2. Submit an application if an individual decision is required
   If the KWALIFIKATOR indicates that such a decision is necessary, submit your application via:
   SYRENA PORTAL https://syrena.nawa.gov.pl/wniosek/wstep/dyplom?utm_source=ScholarshipSet

3. If no information is available in the KWALIFIKATOR system

   • A note in your Diploma Supplement confirming that the diploma entitles you to continue studies at the next cycle is sufficient.
   • If the supplement does not include such information, a certificate issued by your university confirming the status and recognition of your diploma will be acceptable.
