Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Animal Biodiversity and Genomics Scholarship Courses


Requirements for Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Animal Biodiversity and Genomics Scholarship Qualification

  • Academic Bachelor of Science Degree (minimum 180 ECTS) in animal science.
  • For graduates of other relevant bachelor’s programmes, mastery of the following learning outcomes is required for admission:
    • Knowledge and skills in the basics of agricultural sciences, i.e. chemistry, physics, mathematics or statistics, zoology or anatomy and physiology of farm animals, botany, microbiology, genetics and economics.
    • Knowledge and skills in the basics of animal production, i.e. animal breeding, animal nutrition, animal husbandry, crop production or pasture management.
  • Language Proficiency: A good knowledge of English is a prerequisite for an application.
  • Students are required to pass a language proficiency exam meeting the

TOEFL IBT: at least 92 (minimum of 23 in the sub-score “speaking”)

  • TOEFL paper based or ITP cannot be accepted
  • TOEFL IBT Special Home Edition can be accepted but students might have to take another test for their second year university.

ACADEMIC IELTS: at least 7 (minimum of 6.5 in the sub-score “speaking”)

  • IELTS online test and IELTS One Skill Retake are not accepted

CAMBRIDGE CAE/C1 Advanced: score between 180-210, Grade C

CAMBRIDGE CPE/C2 Proficiency: score between 180-230 or Grade C

The language proficiency certificates should have been taken no longer than two years before the application deadline.

  • Diploma/Certificate of degree

  • Curriculum Vitae

  • Transcript of records

  • Scan of passport

  • Certificate of current residence

  • Two Letters of recommendation

  • As a mandatory part of the application, you are required to create a 1- to 2-minute video explaining why you would like to be part of this programme. 

  • Copy of an official language certificate attesting language skills in English
