European Commission Blue Book Traineeship Programme 2027

Twice a year, the European Commission offers a 5-month paid traineeship. 

The European Commission proposes three types of traineeships: Administrative traineeship for university graduates (ADMIN UG), Administrative traineeship for Vocational Education and Training graduates (ADMIN VET) and Translation traineeship (TRA)

European Commission Blue Book Traineeship Programme

Aim and Benefits of European Commission Blue Book Traineeship Programme

This five-month paid traineeship offers:

• Hands-on experience in EU policymaking and administration
• Professional skills development
• Intercultural awareness and personal growth

Trainees work in a multicultural environment, develop professional skills, and gain insights into the operations of the European Commission, its executive agencies, decentralised agencies or bodies, Commissioners' Cabinets, and European External Action Service.

Requirements for European Commission Blue Book Traineeship Programme Qualification

• The programme is open to all eligible candidates from the Member States of the European Union. A limited number of places are also allocated to non-EU nationals from countries benefiting from a pre-accession strategy.
• Trainees work all over the European Commission, its services and agencies, mostly in Brussels, but also in Luxembourg and elsewhere across the European Union.
