The Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship Program has been awarding full scholarships to Nigerian students since 1998. It is fully funded by Mr. Jim Ovia to provide financial aid to outstanding Nigeria youths.
The scholarship was previously known as the MUSTE scholarship. The scheme offers an average of 100 opportunities each year for new applicants while renewing applicants are supported annually, conditional on meeting all eligible requirements of the scholarship.
Since October 2010, Mr. Ovia has invested over 100 Million Naira in the program to support 1500 beneficiaries and counting.
In establishing the Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship, Mr. Ovia hoped to create a network of future leaders within Nigeria who can compete globally with their peers, bring new ideas, creativity and are committed to improving the lives and circumstances of people in their respective communities.

Requirements for Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship Program Qualification
- Be a citizen of Nigeria
- Be currently or potentially enrolled in an accredited tertiary institution in Nigeria.
- Have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership prowess
- Be passionate about contributing to the society
- Scholarships are awarded on the basis of personal intellectual ability, leadership capability and a desire to contribute to society at large to improve the lives of others.

- Recognized Government I.D
- Passport Photograph
- Your Official JAMB Certificate
- Your School's Admission Letter
- Your official acceptance letter from the University
- Copy of your UTME Result
- Current Academic Calendar of your Institution (Stamped/Signed)
- Signed & Stamped Student Copy of your CGPA Result (Medical students MUST provide a SIGNED & STAMPED copy of their most recent examination result, showing the courses, grades and the grades translated into CGPA)
- Original Copy of your HOD's Recommendation Letter (This letter MUST state your Current Academic Level, Current Academic Session, Current Academic Semester and Current CGPA…MUST not be older Than 4 Months)
- Your School I.D card
- Original Secondary School O'Level Certificate (WAEC, GCE or NECO)
