About Newcastle University

Newcastle University (Officially, the University of Newcastle upon Tyne) is a public research university located in Newcastle upon Tyne in the North-East of England. The university can trace its origins to a School of Medicine and Surgery (later the College of Medicine), established in 1834, and to the College of Physical Science (later renamed Armstrong College), founded in 1871. Requirements for Newcastle University Postgraduate Scholarship Qualification

To be eligible for this partial-fee scholarship you must meet the following criteria (Business Excellence Scholarship Regulations - 2025 Entry):

• hold an offer of admission for 2025 entry for an eligible programme (see terms and conditions for eligible programmes)
• you must achieve or hold a UK 2:1 Honours Degree (or its international equivalent)
• hold an English language qualification of IELTS 7.0 or its equivalent with no subskill below 6.0, if your first language is not English
• Students can be domiciled in any country but priority will be placed upon students from underrepresented groups within out PGT student cohort

How to Apply

Eligible candidates will automatically be considered for the Business Excellence Scholarship as part of their academic course application. Applicants will be considered based on their academic level, English language score and quality of personal statement.
