The Nigeria Prize for Science is an annual award established by NLNG in 2004 to recognize and celebrate scientific excellence. It honors scientists and innovators from around the world who develop groundbreaking solutions to critical problems that can be applied in Nigeria. The 2025 edition focuses on “Innovations in ICT, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Digital Technologies for Development.” The winning entry must advance knowledge and demonstrate practical solutions for a significant societal impact. The winner(s) will receive USD 100,000.
Nigeria LNG Limited was incorporated as a limited liability company on May 17, 1989 to harness Nigeria's vast natural gas resources and produce Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) for export. The establishment of NLNG is backed by the NLNG Act. The responsibilities include overall governance and administration of the prize, appointment and supervision of judges, approval of the adjudication process outcome
