About Chinese Government
Chinese Government Scholarship—Chinese University Program is a scholarship established by Ministry of Education (MOE) to support Chinese universities in specific provinces or autonomous regions to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China. MOE authorized USTC to recruit full-time master and doctoral students under the Chinese Government Scholarship since 2008.

Chinese Government High-level Graduate Program
Requirements for Chinese Government High-level Graduate Program Qualification
- Applicants for master’s or doctoral programs are eligible to this program.
- Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the P.R.C. and be in good health both mentally and physically;
- Applicants must be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs;
- Applicants must be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs;
- Applicants must not hold another scholarship offered by the government, institutions or enterprises in China.
Interview date, Process and Venue for Chinese Government High-level Graduate Program
After the evaluation of materials, the applicant should take part in an admission interview.
The personal information and application materials will be re-checked after the applicant is admitted. If any cases of inconsistency or false documentation are detected, the qualification of scholarship will be cancelled.
The application result for Chinese Government Scholarship will be announced by China Scholarship Council (CSC).

- Log in the Nankai University International Student Online Service Registration Platform and complete the application. (https://nankai.at0086.cn/StuApplication)
- Log in “Chinese Government Scholarship Information System” (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login), upload the necessary documents and submit the application. (Please select Program Category “Type B”, and fill in Nankai University Code Number 10055 for the institution code.)
- Please confirm that all the information should be identical with those in steps 1.
- Pay attention to notifications concerning the application progress, evaluation, and scholarship results.
- Reply the emails from NKU timely and confirm matters concerning the scholarship.
- Applicants who pass the examination should upload the pre-admission notice to “Chinese Government Scholarship Information System” before March 15, 2025.
