About Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) is the state oil corporation which was ?established on April 1, 1977. In addition to its exploration activities, the Corporation was given powers and operational interests in refining, petrochemicals and products transportation as well as marketing. Between 1978 and 1989, NNPC constructed refineries in Warri, Kaduna and Port Harcourt and took over the 35,000-barrel Shell Refinery established in Port Harcourt in 1965. Aim and Benefits of NNPC-SNEPCo Scholarship Program

The scholarship will cover:

• Full tuition fees
• One economy return flight ticket from Nigeria to the UK
• Contribution towards living expenses

Requirements for NNPC-SNEPCo Scholarship Program Qualification

Applicant must: 

• Display intellectual ability and leadership potential
• Have an adequate standard of English (at least 6.5 in IELTS) and meet the university’s language requirements
• Have been offered admission to study one of the eligible courses
• Hold (or expect to hold before the scholarship begins) a degree equivalent to a UK Upper Second-Class Honours degree
• Have completed NYSC by September 2026
• Be a Nigerian resident in Nigeria
• Not have previously studied in the UK or other developed countries
• Be aged 21–28 years by 30 September 2026
• Have a Nigerian international passport valid until December 2026

• Obtain a formal admission offer from the university
• Complete the scholarship application process through the designated scholarship portal
• Participate in the university and SNEPCo selection process if shortlisted
