Shanghai Jiao Tong University independently recruits Chinese Government Scholarship graduate students to study in relevant disciplines at the university. This program is a full scholarship provided by the Ministry of Education of China.
About Chinese Government

Aim and Benefits of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Scholarship
- Registration fees, tuition fees, laboratory fees, internship fees, basic textbook fees, and accommodation fees.
- Scholarship living expenses will be provided.
- Provide outpatient medical expenses and comprehensive medical insurance for Chinese government scholarship students.
Requirements for Shanghai Jiao Tong University Scholarship Qualification
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.
- Applicants must not be students studying in China.
- Applicants must meet the academic and age requirements for admission: Applicants for a doctoral degree must hold a master's degree and be under 40 years old; applicants for a master's degree must hold a bachelor's degree and be under 35 years old.
- Excellent academic performance and outstanding performance.
- Not receiving any other Chinese scholarships (from the Chinese government, local government, other institutions or organizations, etc.).
Documents Required for Application
Applicants must fill in and submit the following application materials truthfully (in duplicate)
- The Online application form
- Provide notarized undergraduate diploma and degree certificate. Then for Doctoral students provide Provide notarized master's degree certificate and diploma.
- Provide transcripts of all undergraduate courses.
- Provide a study and research plan in China, written in Chinese or English (no less than 800 words).
- Two letters of recommendation from associate professors or those with equivalent professional titles or above, written in Chinese or English.
- Provide a list of published papers and abstracts.
- Provide a copy of your passport (valid ordinary passport).
- Provide a copy of the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" (this form can be downloaded from www.csc.edu.cn , in English). (fill in the document).

- Applicants who meet the online registration requirements must fill in and submit the application form on the CSC's "Study in China Online Registration System
- Download the Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form
- Log in to the website of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine ( www.shsmu.edu.cn ) to learn about the various majors.
- Send the completed application materials to the International Student Education Center of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, and indicate "Application for Chinese Government Scholarship".
