UNESCO/APCEIU Youth Leadership Workshop on Global Citizenship Education 2024

Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) is committed to empowering youth by providing a dynamic platform for discussion, idea exchange, networking, and mutual understanding on GCED and youth advocacy to drive changes towards a culture of peace at various levels. The Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED, organized by APCEIU, has been held annually since 2015 in collaboration with partners including the GCED Youth Network.

This year, under the theme of “Youth Voices for Transforming Education through GCED,” the online Workshop invites youth leaders spreading the spirit of global citizenship through education to come and gather for active discussion and experience sharing with peer global citizens around the world. The Workshop will be held on April 29th to May 10th (total of ten days). Selected graduates of the Workshop will have opportunities for a grant and mentorship for follow-up initiatives!

Requirements for UNESCO/APCEIU Youth Leadership Workshop Qualification

• 50 youth leaders actively engaged in GCED from ODA recipient countries and the Republic of Korea.

Self-paced study
Small group discussion facilitated by the GCED Youth Network

• Online LIVE Workshop: 6 May – 10 May 2024
• Lectures & interactive activities on GCED with international experts and youth leaders
• Sharing of youth advocacy initiatives on GCED and action planning exercise
• Grant Competition: May 2024 (For Workshop graduates)
• Mentorship & Project Implementation: May – October 2024
• Exclusively for selected winners only
