About University of Manchester

The University of Manchester, in its present form, was created in 2004 by the amalgamation of the Victoria University of Manchester and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). Aim and Benefits of University of Mancheste Undergraduate Scholarship

For 2025 entry, we have one scholarship available which will:

• pay for up to four years of a degree, excluding any intercalation, study abroad or industrial placement years;
• pay an annual maintenance bursary of £8,000. Each year, continued receipt of the scholarship is dependent on satisfactory academic progression.

Requirements for University of Mancheste Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

All eligible students will need to complete an application form, show proof of eligibility and answer questions based on the priority criteria.

You’ll also need to write a 1500-word essay to demonstrate your long-term thinking about the world.

Interview date, Process and Venue for University of Mancheste Undergraduate Scholarship

By Monday, 9th June, eligible students will get an email with further information. To help with your essay, you’ll need to complete an online study skills module.

The application form will open from Tuesday, 1 July until Sunday, 3 August at 11:59PM.

You’ll receive a decision by Friday, 12 September.
