WESTAFRICAOIL is funded by oil and gas exploration companies in West Africa,WESTAFRICAOIL invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the West Africa Oil and Gas Development Undergraduate Scholarship Programme for 2025/2026 academic session.

The scholarship scheme was developed to offer candidates the opportunity to benefit from a diversified pool of knowledge and the facilities offered by approved institutions across Nigeria.

Under this scheme, candidates are invited to apply through WESTAFRICAOIL to specific programs at the approved listed institutions.

The award includes N250,000 per year and a laptop to aid academic performance

Requirements for West Africa Oil and Gas Scholarship for Young Nigerians Qualification

• Be a Nigerian citizen.
• Currently be in their first or second year of full-time study in the approved listed Nigerian University.
• Have a University Matriculation Number (UME) ID Number or the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Number to be fully verified (VerifyID charges apply) before applying for the scholarship

Interview date, Process and Venue for West Africa Oil and Gas Scholarship for Young Nigerians

West Africa Oil and Gas Development Undergraduate scholarships selection process is open and transparent , and only candidates who meet the scholarship requirement will be selected .

All submitted education informations will be verified acurately , and only applicants who are verifiable from their respective institutions will be invited for an interview where a selection committee will be constituted to assess their applications and proceed further

Candidates who successfully scale through the first round of screening will be requested to attend the interviews round with hard copies of their submitted documents and other relevant documents; all applicants are therefore advised to prepare their documents in anticipation.

• Complete Application Form
• Passport photograph with white background mot more than 3 months old (450px by 450px mot more than 200kb)
• O-Level and UTME results
• University and JAMB Admission letter
• University student ID card
• National Population Commission Issued Birth certificate
• Local Government Area (LGA) letter of identification
• National ID Number (NIN) Slip
