APRI Young Talent Program
Requirements for APRI Young Talent Program Qualification
- For applicants currently registered in Europe, enrollment in a European university is required (German: Pflichtpraktikum).
- Applicants based in Africa or other regions may apply even if not currently enrolled in university, provided they have recently graduated or are between academic programs. The candidate needs to be able to work on GMT+1 (Nigera) or GMT+2 (Germany) timezones.
- Strong research and analytical skills – experience in data analysis and data visualization is an asset.
- Excellent writing skills and command of English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
- Self-starter who can work independently, is reliable and flexible, and knows how to organize and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural team environment.
Preferred
- Completed graduate studies in a relevant field.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- To fully benefit from and learn within APRI’s team culture, we encourage applicants who are able to complete part or all of their internship in one of APRI offices (Berlin or Abuja).
Interview date, Process and Venue for APRI Young Talent Program
APRI maintains a roster of strong applicants to match with future program needs. Candidates may be selected for upcoming rounds based on both availability and program alignment.
- If selected for the first round, a 10-minute check-in with the HR department will be conducted, providing an opportunity to ask questions.
- Interview with a Head of Program or Team Lead.
- If selected, an offer will be made for a role in one of APRI’s programs, based on availability and thematic alignment.
If not selected for immediate placement, shortlisted candidates may be kept on a reserve roster for upcoming positions.
