Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, as part of its mission to foster relationships with developing countries, offers a special programme to meritable students from the African continent. This programme enables eligible candidates to study an English-taught 2-year graduate degree / Laurea Magistrale with a tuition and university fees reduction.

Aim and Benefits of Masters Scholarship

The tuition and university fees (after reduction) are as follows:

1. Published Tuition: €9,050
2. Tuition fee reduction: €5,870 per year
3. Tuition to be paid: €3,480 per year

However, students will still be responsible for their own living expenses, hence the Università Cattolica Africa Scholars Programme is NOT a programme through which full scholarships can be obtained.

Requirements for Masters Scholarship Qualification

Students, either citizens or residents, of all African countries may apply for the Africa Scholars Programme.
Admission requirements for all 2-year graduate degrees include:

1. Completion of a Bachelor Degree from a recognized university with 2nd class upper division / 2.1 degree final classification, or higher.
2. Proof of proficiency in English.   

An application fee of 75€ is due to submit the candidacy. Check the application procedure. 

Interview date, Process and Venue for Masters Scholarship

Application Deadline: 

• 1st Round: 22nd January, 2025
• 2nd Round: 26th February, 2025
• 3rd Round: 26th March, 2025
• 4th Round: 7th May, 2025

Documents Required for Application

Scan and upload the following documents:

• Copy of passport (page with your data and photo)
• Italian fiscal code, if available
• Copy of your high school diploma
• Copy of your bachelor degree - if already available
• Official transcripts of the bachelor degree including grading and credit system explanation
• Updated CV
• Motivation letter – in a couple of paragraphs explain why you want to study with us
• Academic reference – you can use the fields “Additional documents 1/2/”
• GRE/GMAT score report (Optional).

Documents accepted in Italian, English, French, Spanish.

All documents must be uploaded in a legible format, preferably pdf.

How to Apply

1. Select the degree program of your choice. You may select up to two programs. Your application will be considered for your first choice only. If your application is unsuccessful, we will automatically consider you for the second choice.
2. Create your account, fill out the online form and upload the required documents (listed in the guidelines)
3. Pay the application fee (75€, non-refundable) and submit your application. We will start processing your application after the payment of the application fee has been received: check that the status of the application in your Self Service Center is “Applied and paid”.
