2025 The New York Life Financial Empowerment Scholarship Program

The New York Life Financial Empowerment Scholarship Program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

The New York Life Financial Empowerment Scholarship Program

Aim and Benefits of The New York Life Financial Empowerment Scholarship Program

Assuming there are qualified applicants, a total of 20 scholarships will be awarded:

• Eight $20,000 scholarships will be awarded to students who have completed at least 50 different modules in the game.
• Twelve $10,000 scholarships will be awarded to students who have completed at least 25 modules in the game.

Requirements for The New York Life Financial Empowerment Scholarship Program Qualification

Applicants to the New York Life Financial Empowerment Scholarship Program must:

• Be a high school graduate in the class of 2025 or 2026, who is a legal resident of the 50 United States of the District of Columbia.
• Complete the required number of levels of the New York Life Financial Empowerment Scholarship game.
• Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college/university or vocational-technical or trade school for the entire upcoming academic year (or following year for juniors).
• Fulfill any other eligibility requirements set forth in the New York Life Financial Empowerment Scholarship Program Official Rules.

Interview date, Process and Venue for The New York Life Financial Empowerment Scholarship Program

Scholarship America will select finalists on the basis of:

• Essay: What plans have you made to achieve your goals, and what challenges do you expect to encounter along the way? And if there’s a financial dimension to this goal, how do you think you’ll tackle that aspect of it?
• Academic performance
• Personal details (activities, work experience, goals statement, etc.)

Financial need will not be considered.

Scholarship America will identify and select program finalists, and New York Life will select the recipients from the group of selected finalists. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.
