The Pauline Bakibinga Memorial Scholarship was established in September 2022 to honor the memory of Dr. Pauline Bakibinga, a former researcher at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC).
The African Population and Health Research Center is the continent’s premier research institution and think tank, generating evidence to drive policy action to improve the health and wellbeing of African people. To be considered for the Scholarship, applicants must:
This Scholarship award does not bind the recipient to APHRC or their current employer and is not under any obligation to repay. However, it is hoped that once a recipient graduates and is engaged in a productive career, they will help honor Pauline’s memory by providing future students with similar higher education opportunities, contributing to similar causes, and giving back to the community. Applicants from Mbarara University of Science and Technology and those affiliated with Busoga Health Forum are encouraged to apply. Recipients of the Scholarship are expected to uphold a high standard of professional conduct.
