As a global institution, Bayes Business School aims to foster greater racial diversity in business. It is offering up to ten scholarships each year for Black UK-domiciled undergraduate students from lower- income households.

Aim and Benefits of Bayes Undergraduate Scholarships for Black British Students

  • Full tuition fee coverage (at home-fee level) and a £6,000 annual stipend

  • Scholars applying to the Student Ambassador programme will be automatically short-listed and invited to an interview. These are paid roles and an opportunity to earn money whilst supporting the University.
  • Tailored careers support throughout your studies. The Careers Service also offers dedicated careers guidance appointments for Bayes students at Bunhill Row. Disabled and neurodiverse studentscare leaversyoung carersestranged studentsrefugeesasylum seekers and LGBTQ+ students can access dedicated support through the Careers Ahead programme. Furthermore, we are proud to be able to offer lifetime careers support to all City St George's graduates.
  • Regular networking opportunities with a community of your fellow scholars (current and alumni).
  • One-to-one mentoring support, initially as part of our Schools Engagement Programme and then with a dedicated mentor.

Requirements for Bayes Undergraduate Scholarships for Black British Students Qualification

To be eligible for this scholarship the applicant must:

  • Be a UK student, with assessed fee-status equal to ‘home’.
  • Be of Black ethnicity:
    a) Black African
    b) Black Caribbean
    c) Black Other
    d) Mixed – White and Black Caribbean
    e) Mixed – White and Black African
    f) Other mixed background (to include Black African, Black Caribbean or Black Other)
  • Be from a lower income household [1]
  • Satisfy Bayes Business School’s offer condition for the chosen course


Documents Required for Application

Before applying please ensure that you satisfy all eligibility criteria and have the following information

  • Name and date of birth
  • UCAS ID number (ten-digit number)
  • Ethnicity
  • Details and proof of household income
  • A form of ID
  • A personal statement of a maximum of 500-1000 words, which explains how you will benefit from the scholarship programme. This statement is different from the one submitted to UCAS, as it should include your strengths and plans for the future and also highlight how this scholarship can support these plans.
