The African Climate Leaders Fellowship (ACLF) by GreenLead is a free sustainability and climate capacity-building program designed for young Africans aged 18-35. It equips participants with the knowledge and skills to drive climate action and sustainability initiatives at the community/local level. Launched in May 2024, the fellowship connects African youth to tackle climate challenges in their communities through education, internships, and community projects.
ACLF covers key topics including : Climate Science and Impacts, Climate-Smart / Sustainable Agricultural Practices, Blue Economy, Solar Technologies Adoption, Clean Cooking Fuels, Circular Economy, Climate and Energy Policy and Governance, Climate Advocacy and Communication, Climate Justice, Community Engagement, Project Management, and Green Upskilling.
Greenlead is a registered NGO focused on building the capacity of young people to address pressing environmental issues of today, including the climate change crisis, greenwashing, waste management, and other environmental sustainability issues in building a sustainable and inclusive Africa.
