Are you passionate about preventing and countering corruption? Do you want to help build a culture of integrity, ethics and accountability in your community and beyond? Are you between 18 and 29 years old and interested in contributing to anti-corruption work at the local, regional or global level?
UNODC is inviting motivated young people from around the world to apply to join the YouthLED Integrity Advisory Board, established under the Global Resource for Anti-Corruption Education and Youth Empowerment (GRACE) Initiative.
The English language component of the Indigenous Fellowship Programme (IFP) was established in 1997. It takes place at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva, Switzerland and lasts for 4 weeks, usually coinciding with the annual meeting of the Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (EMRIP). Selected members will be expected to serve for a minimum of one year within a two-year term, with the possibility of renewal for an additional two-year term, for a maximum total service of four years. Members will also be expected to dedicate approximately three days per month to Board-related activities. Please note that participation in the YouthLED Board is voluntary and does not include financial compensation.
This application is open to young people aged 18 to 29 at the time of application who have a demonstrated interest in integrity, ethics, peace, justice, anti-corruption, the rule of law, civic engagement, community action, youth networks or related fields. Prior experience with the United Nations or UNODC is not required. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English, as all Board activities and communications will be conducted in English.
Following the application period, all submissions will be carefully reviewed and shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview.
